I have always had a very strong passion for food since I can remember. So in the summer of 2003 I took a leap and changed careers. I was blessed to get hired at Divine. I apprenticed under Darren Nixon and was able to learn so much from him and his Sous Chef Adrienne. I worked there for three and a half years before moving on to a Private Corporate Retreat called Falkrige in Priddis. I finished my apprenticeship there. I received a Scholarship in my final year of School from the Rocky Mountain Food and Wine Festival which was a true honour. After doing catering for awhile I wanted to have a place where I could cook for everyone all the time. That is when I came upon this place. I wanted the name to reflect the fact that you can have great tasting, quality and nutritious food just as easy instead of going through the Drive through! I found out I was gluten intolerant a couple of years ago and have been playing with different gluten free ingredients ever since.

My goal is to feed people even if they are not gluten or wheat free so that they don’t notice that there is a difference in flavour. I do not want to deprive anyone of flavour or substance. Food sensitivities and intolerances are very common now and it is often recommended to change your diet to relieve symptoms. Gluten is a form of protein found in wheat (spelt, rye, barley). There are still many things to eat like Rice, Corn, Quinoa, Buckwheat, Potatoes. All the food is made by hand from the chicken stock to the Foccacia Bread, desserts, dressings and also make appetizers. I make gluten free desserts even a gluten free pizza and I am working on gluten free Foccacia bread. The front of the house offer s a variety of Gourmet food products including a nice assortment of Olives and Cheese, even a Lactose free one from Sylvan Star. We would like our place to be considered your one stop shop for all your entertainment needs. |
